Ranchi: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) Ranchi is likely to declare the results for Class 12, Science and Commerce streams today on May 13, 2016.
The candidates who had appeared in the class 12 science and commerce examinations will be able to check their results on the official website.
The HSSC exams were held earlier this year, in which lakhs of students appeared.
To check the results, Log on to the official website "jac.nic.in". Click on 'Examination Results 2016' tab
In the new window that opens click on live link 'Result Class 12 (Science and Commerce) 2016'
In the new window that opens, enter the roll number and other details asked for in the space provided and submit. The result would appear on the screen; take a print out of the same for future reference.
The state of Jharkhand was carved out of Bihar on November 15, 2000. An Act to establish the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) was enacted by the Jharkhand State Legislature and was assented to by the Governor on December 12, 2013.
The Jharkhand Academic Council was established for holding and conducting examinations at the end of Intermediate, Education, Secondary Education, Sanskrit Education and Madrasa Education and for prescribing courses of studies for such examinations and for recommending for recognition of Intermediate Educational Institutions, High Schools, Sanskrit Schools and Madrasas to the State Government and for carrying out such other or duties assigned to the council by the State Govt from time to time.
With the establishment of the Jharkhand Academic Council, the Bihar Intermediate Education Council Act, 1992, the Bihar School Examination Board Act, 1952 (adapted as Jharkhand Secondary Examination Board Act, 2000) Bihar Sanskrit Education Board Act, 1981 And Bihar Board of Madrasa Educaiton Board Acts, 1981 were repealed.
The Jharkhand Academic Council started functioning in a rented house in Rameshwaram where previously the Jharkhand Intermediate Council functioned, and the Secondary portion continued to function in Zila School Ranchi campus. The search for suitable accommodation for JAC continued unabated till at last the Council was housed in a portion of the Birsadih Club on rent. The present office was inaugurated by Chief Minister Arjun Munda on 13.12.2003 under the Chairmanship of the then HRD Minister Pashupati Nath Singh.
