Hyderabad: The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) on Monday said the Telangana EAMCET (Engineering , Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) 2018 exams will be held from May 2 to 5.
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad will conduct the TS EAMCET 2018 on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) on the scheduled date.
The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has just released the date of the exam. A detailed notification is expected to be released soon, and the registeration process will most likely start in the month of February.
The Telangana EAMCET 2018 is a state level common entrance test (CET), conducted for selecting candidates for admissions to undergraduate Engineering, Agriculture and Medical courses in the government and private colleges located in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
TS EAMCET 2018 Syllabus
The syllabus of the exam EAMCET 2018 is decided by Board of Intermediate Education. The question is asked to the students to test the knowledge and understanding of the intermediate subjects. The syllabus includes subjects like Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.
TS EAMCET 2018 Hall Ticket/ Admit Card
The candidates who have applied for the examination will get the admit card of TSEAMCET 2018 from the official website. The hall ticket will be released in the last week of April 2018. It is compulsory to bring the admit card while attempting for examination papers. To get the print out of your admit card you need to fill up the detail of registration numbers and Candidate date of birth.
TS EAMCET 2018 Paper Pattern
As per the available details, the question paper for the 03-hour test will consist of a total of 160 multiple choice questions (MCQs) of 1 mark each based on subjects Maths /Biology/Biotechnology, Physics and Chemistry. No negative marking will be done for wrong answers.
The EAMCET 2018 will be conducted in two languages, English and Telugu. But, at Hyderabad centre the students will have an option to select the Urdu language.
Application fee is Rs.250/- for Engineering, Rs.250/- for Agriculture and Medical and Rs.500/- for Engineering, Agriculture and Medical.
The candidates who will secure qualifying marks in the exam and candidates belonging to the SC/ST communities for whom qualifying marks have not been prescribed, shall be assigned ranking in the order of merit on the basis of combined score obtained by giving 75 per cent weightage to the marks secured in EAMCET 2018 and 25 per cent weightage to the marks secured in the relevant group subjects namely Mathematics or Biology, Physics, Chemistry of the qualifying examination.
Along with releasing the dates of TS EAMCET 2018, the Telangana board has also released dates for other common entrance tests. ECET (EngineeringCommon EntranceTest) will be conducted on May 9 followed by TS ICET (Integrated Common Entrance Test) on May 17.
Other important exams which will be conducted are: TS PECET (Physical Education Common Entrance Test) on May 20, TS LAWCET (Law Common Entrance Test) on May 25, TS PGLCET (Post-graduate law common entrance test) on May 26, TS PGECET (Postgraduate engineering common entrance test) on May 27 and TS EdCET (Education Common Entrance Test) on May 31.
All CETs, except TS-PECET will be conducted online.
