Allahabad: The Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad Uttar Pradesh (Uttar Pradesh Board of Education) Wednesday released the date sheet / time table of the UP board Class 10 (High School) exam 2017 on its official website.
The UP board Class 10 (High School) exam 2017, according to the released date sheet / time table, begins on March 16, 2017 with Hindi language as the first paper and conlcude on April 01, 2017 with Drawin/Sewing paper.
The Mathematics paper will be on March 20 whereas Science paper will be on March 23 and English language paper will be on March 27.
In December last year, the board announced that the Class 10 exams will be held between February 16 and March 6, and the Class 12 exams to be conducted between February 16 and March 20.
The examination is however delayed due to the upcoming UP Assembly elections. The Uttar Pradesh assembly polls are scheduled to begin from February 11 and will conclude on March 8.
The Uttar Pradesh board is yet to release the date sheet / time table of the Class 12 or Inter exam 2017.
The Board was set up in the year 1921 at Allahabad by an act of United Provinces Legislative Council. It conducted its first examination in 1923. This Board is one in India which, from the very start, had adopted 10+2 system of examination.
The first public examination after 10 years education is High School Examination and after the 10+2 stage, there is Intermediate Examination. Prior to 1923, University of Allahabad was the examining body of these two examinations.
As per the official data, in 2016 out of the total 68, 21,869 registered students, 37, 49,977 candidates appeared for the High School or Class 10 examination.
At present there are 9121 secondary schools recognized by the UP Board of High School and Intermediate Education.
