New Delhi: Bhartiya Janata Party's Executive Member in Haryana Vijeta Malik is being trolled on the social media after she posted fake and cropped images from a Bhojpuri film to show how "Hindus are being attacked" in West Bengal - the state in the news since last few days for communal violence.
Amid the reports of continued clashes in West Bengal's Basirhat, about 100 kms from state capital Kolkata, after a blasphemous Facebook post went viral on internet.
The state government stopped the BJP and Left parties leaders from visiting the area, fearing the visit by them might escalate tension in the region.
However, in a bizarre move, BJP's Vijeta Malik posted on her Facebook page the cropped image from a Bhojpuri film "Aurat Khilona Nahi" with a long comment underneath.
The comment by Malik written in Hindi said that the state of Hindus in West Bengal was unfortunate and that Hindus are being maligned in public.
In her post, Malik also asked why there was no 'award vapsi' and why the state government was apathetic to the humiliation faced by Hindus.
Interestingly, Vijeta Malik used the image which is cropped and Manoj Tewari, who is also associated with the BJP and seen in scene pulling off the saree of a woman, is not visible.
Vijeta Malik later deleted the post from her page. But, the screenshot of her post with the fake image and her comments are widely being circulated with a demand from the government to arrest her for inciting violence.
