Students should note that though the education department has fixed 05:00 pm as the time to release the FYJC Admission 2017 Second Merit List, a delay of few hours is possible.
This is also expected because the FYJC First Merit List was released after a delay of one whole day abd was marred by technical issues.
This time however the educaion department says the FYJC Second Merit List (Round 2 Allocation) will be in time and smooth. Hence they should not get panicked.

The second merit list is critical for over one lakh students who were not allotted a seat in the first round of admissions. But, at most top colleges, the seats are few and hence principals aren't expecting the cut-offs to drop by more than 1%.
If a student wants to change options and stream for Third Merit List (Round 3 Allocation), she or he can do that between July 26-27 upto 05:00 pm.
The released schedule further says that the Third Merit List (Round 3 Allocation) will be on July 29, the Fourth Merit List will be out on August 06 and the Academic year 2017-18 will begin from August 09, 2017.
The FYJC Admission authorities under the School Education and Sports Department had earlier announced that it will conduct four rounds of admission process once every week between June 15 to July 15, 2017.
If seats remain vacant, three additional rounds of admission will be held once every two weeks up to September 1.
A ‘zero round’ will be conducted for online admissions to the Higher Secondary Vocational Course (HSVC) and quota seats – religious or linguistic minority, in-house and management. If seats remain vacant, they will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis.
Around 30% seats in online admissions will be reserved for girl students from poor backgrounds.
The FYJC online admission process in Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Amravati and Nagpur regions started after the 2017 SSC results were declared in June second week.
Meanwhile it is also reported that the First Year Junior College (FYJC) seats available in coveted colleges may remain beyond the reach of students scoring in 80s and 70s in the Second Merit List.
Only a handful of Commerce and Arts seats are available in Mumbai’s top 10 colleges during the second round. This indicates that cut-offs have not fallen drastically for both these streams.
The entire admission process for Mumbai MMR students will be done through the special portal launched for the purpose, the direct link of which is mumbai.11thadmission.net.
Separate FYJC admission portals have also been launched for the students in Pune, Amravati, Nagpur, Aurangabad and Nashik regions. The FYJC 2017 Second Merit List of these regions is also released today.
