
Lucknow: The students who are appearing for the Class 12 or Intermediate 2018 board exams were up for a surprise in Uttar Pradesh when the centre in-charge distributed Physics-II question paper instead of Physics-I.
The incident happened at Jamia Rizvia Anwarul Mustafa High School, Imamganj in Bahraich on Thursday.
According to Rajendra Kumar Pandey, District Inspector of School (DIoS), the centre in-charge after realising the mistake replaced the papers, but did not inform the authorities about the mistake.
"We only got to know about the incident through the social media", Pandey said, adding that an FIR has been lodged against the centre in-charge.
The Physics-II paper was scheduled for Saturday.
Two other papers, including the English language paper, were also found leaked in Uttar Pradesh where UP Board Class 12 or Inter exams are underway since February 06, 2018.
The UP board Class 10 exams also began on February 06.
A total of 66,37,018 students had registered the 2018 UP board Class 10 and Class 12 exams. These include 36,55,691 students who registered for Class 10 exams and 29,81,327 students who had applied for Class 12 exams.
According to the list of examination centres released on UP board website upmsp.edu.in, 2018 Class 10 and Class 12 exams are held at 128 centres. This is 05 less than 133 - the previous year total of exam centres.
The UP board Class 10 exams will end on February 22, 2018 with Sanskrit as last paper. The last paper of UP Board Class 12 exam will be on March 10, 2018. The paper will be of Anthropology and Urdu language, and it will be held only in the afternoon shift.
