Mumbai:
Back cover and cases of a new smartphone, believed to be of Xiaomi Mi 6X, has surfaced online setting speculations about its likely launch in January end at MWC 2018 rolling.

According to reports, the all new Xiaomi Mi 6X will be the successor to last year’s Mi 5X, which was launched as Mi A1 in other markets with stock Android on board.

The image of the phone’s back cover, allegedly belonging to Xiaomi Mi 6X, has leaked online via Chinese microblogging site Weibo. The image shows lines very similar to those of Mi 5X/ Mi A1, with a metal body, interrupted by the upper plastic bands of the antennas. However, there are a couple of differences from the past models.

Confirming the leak, Slashleaks posted case renders of the Mi 6X which shows edge-to-edge display and a vertical dual-camera setup. Another image leaked on Weibo has showcased the back cover of the Mi 6X.

The leaked back cover also shows a circular hole in the middle of the rear panel, which could be the placeholder for a fingerprint sensor.

Also, images showing the front side suggests that the Xiaomi Mi 6X may come with a full-screen design, with an aspect ratio of 18:9.

Though Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed that the Mi 6X exists, reports are also abuzz that the Mi 6X will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM, and will also come with a bigger screen, a bigger battery, and a less powerful processor than the Mi 6.
