Selected Haj pilgrims should deposit Rs 81000, submit passport before Jan 31

The Haj Committee of India has advised all haj pilgrims who have been selected after the Qurrah - draw of lots, held in various stat haj committees to deposit Rs.81,000/- as first installment and submit the pay-in-slip along with original passport and photographs on or before January 31, 2018.

“All provisionally selected pilgrims are required to deposit Advance Haj Amount of Rs.81,000/- each. A unique Bank Reference Number provided to each cover must be mentioned in the Remittance Receipt", the Haj Committee of India said.

“After depositing the amount of Rs.81,000/-, the provisionally selected pilgrims shall submit a copy of the pay-in-slip, medical certificate along with original passport and one photograph to their respective state Haj committees by or before January 31, 2018", the Central Haj Committee said.

“The pilgrims are also advised to strictly adhere to the last date for remittance of Advance Haj Amount and submission of documents in the concerned state Haj committee as prescribed by Haj Committee of India", it added.

To check Unique Bank Reference Number, the selected Haj pilgrims can follow the steps given as under.

How to check Unique Bank Reference Number

Selected pilgrims whose names figured in the final list drawn after the Qurrah can check Unique Bank Reference Number by following the steps given below:

  • Go to Haj Committee of India website by clicking here hajcommittee.gove.in
  • Brwose to the bottom of home page and look for the area similar to the one shown belowHaj Unique Bank reference number check
  • Enter your Cover No in the box. Your Cover No should start with your state code.
  • Click on the Down Arraow from 'Select State' menu and select your state
  • Enter Passport No in the box
  • Click on "Load" button
  • All relevant details along with Unique Bank Reference Number will appear on the computer or mobile phone screen

Meanwhile, all state Haj committees completed Qurrah as per the schedule announced by the central haj committee. The Kerala State Haj Committee had requested to extend the Qurrah deadline till February 02.

However, its request was turned down and the Qurrah of Haj pilgrims from Kerala was completed by Haj Committee of India Mumbai office on January 23, 2018 - the last date of completing the process.

The Haj Committee of India had earlier begun receiving Haj Application Form from November 15, 2017. The last date was initially set as December 07. It was later extended to December 22.

The Haj Committee of India will release the flight schedule after the finalisation of Haj pilgrims list.

Names of some pilgrims in various states have also been included in the Haj Waiting List. Such pilgrims in the waiting list will get a chance if any selected pilgrims opts out.

According to Haj 2018 plan, the first Haj Charter flight will depart from India on July 07, 2018 whereas the first inbound flight from Saudi Arabia to India will be August 24, 2018. "Detailed Haj flight schedule will be released later on", the Haj Committee of India said.

The 2018 Haj Action Plan, and all dates and schedule have been decided keeping in mind the Youme Arafa 2018 - Arafat Day 2018 or the Haj Day 2018 on August 20, 2018 (tentative).

The Haj Committee of India has also enabled the link for the applicants to check Cover Number for Haj 2018.

There are two options to check cover number. One is by entering Passport Number and the other is directly entering Haj Cover Number received while submitting the application to confirm registration.

Haj Cover Number is important as all communications, Haj Draw or Qurrah and Hajj accommodation and travel arrangements are made using Cover Number as reference.

Applicants should note that Hajj 2018 Flight Schedule from all embarkation points will be released by the Haj Committee of India only after the process of the Haj Qurrah is completed.
