Guwahati: The Indian Instititue of Technology (IIT) Guwahati on Friday released online the result of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018 held in the month of February.
The GATE 2018 result was scheduled to be declared on March 17. IIT G however declared the result a dau in advance. The GATE 2018 Final Answer Key was released on Tuesday March 13.

The GATE 2018 was held on February 3, February 4 and February 10, February 11, 2018. The exams was held in two sessions: Forenoon: 09:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and Afternoon: 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM. GATE 2018 examinations for 23 papers was conducted across eight (8) sessions.
Indian Instititue of Technology (IIT) Guwahati had earlier said that after the announcement of the result, candidates have to appear for the counseling process. The counseling process will be started in the month of April 2018. GATE scores are also used as a criterion for recruitment in government organisations such as cabinet secretariat, and national and state public sector undertakings in India.
Conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and the IIT, GATE scores are used for admission to MTech/PhD programmes in IITs, IISc and various other institutes. GATE is conducted in 23 disciplines of engineering and science subjects and identifies the candidate’s understanding of a subject and aptitude and eligibility for higher studies.
