New Delhi: A top official of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday while asserting that the CBSE 10th and 12th results 2018 would be declared in the last week of the ongoing month May said the board will announce the exact date and time a day before declaring the results.
“The results of CBSE Class 10 and 12 examinations will be declared in the last week of May. CBSE Class XII result will be declared first and the result of Class X will be declared after few days in the same week”, Controller of Examination office told the reporters on Thursday.
“The exact date and time will be announced a day before the declaration of results”, he added. This is customary for the CBSE to do so ever year to avoid rumors and undue pressure on the students waiting their results.
The CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 result 2018 will be declared on the CBSE result websites. “Besides the official websites cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.nic.in, results.nic.in, the results students will also be able to check their results via SMS”, he said.
Students can use the numbers are 52001 (MTNL), 57766 (BSNL), 5800002 (Aircel), 55456068 (Idea), 54321, 51234 and 5333300 (Tata Teleservices), 54321202 (Airtel), and 9212357123 (National Informatics Centre) to check their result.
Steps to check the CBSE results:
- Go to the official website cbseresults.nic.in or cbse.nic.in
- Select Class 10 or Class 12 result link
- Enter your Roll Number, School No. and Centre No.
- Click on "Submit" button
The Class 12th and Class 10th results of all regions including CBSE Delhi, CBSE Mumbai, CBSE Ahmedabad, CBSE Hyderabad, CBSE Chennai, CBSE Bengaluru, CBSE Kolkata, CBSE Kerala and other states will be declared on the same day. The results of CBSE Dubai, CBSE UAE, CBSE Riyadh and other international centers will also be declared simultaneously.
The latest information shared by the CBSE Examination Controller allays all rumors that the CBSE 2018 results will be delayed owing to the re-examination of Economics paper. The CBSE exam 2018 was marred by reports of paper leak. The incidents of paper leak forced the CBSE to re-conduct Class XII Economics paper.
There were also the reports that the CBSE Class X Mathematic paper was also been leaked. Following the reports, the CBSE announced that the Class X Mathematics paper will also be re-conducted. It however changed its decision after massive protests.
The CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exams this year started on March 05, 2018. While the CBSE Class 12 exam ended on April 12, 2018 with Home Science as the last paper, the Class 10 exams ended on April 04. The Class 12th re-exam of Economics paper was held on April 25.
Over 28 lakh students had appeared for the Classes 10 and 12 exams. A total number of 16,38,428 students had registered for Class 10 exams and for Class 12, total 11,86,306 students wrote the exam. Both the exams were held at different centers in India and abroad.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was founded on November 3, 1962. It's headquartered at Preet Vihar, New Delhi. CBSE regulates and supervises the development of education in the country. The primary function of the CBSE includes preparing academic programmes and organising examinations, especially for Class 10 and Class 12 students. CBSE was established in 1962. CBSE affiliates all Kendriya Vidyalayas, all Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, private schools and most of the schools approved by central government of India.
