The pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh and Delhi NCR embark on Haj from these airports

Haj 2019 Flight Status Delhi Lucknow

Hajj 2019 Flight Schedule from Delhi/Lucknow: The Haj Committee of India on Friday released the Haj flight schedule 2019 of all outbound and inbound flights from Delhi and Lucknow airports on its official website hajcommittee.gov.in. The pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh and Delhi NCR embark on Haj from these airports.

According to the Haj flight schedule uploaded on the Haj Committee website, pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh will start embarking from Delhi airport to perform Haj by Air India from July 04, 2019 onwards.

The first Haj 2019 flight from Choudhary Charan Singh Lucknow will be on July 21, 2019.

The first Air India Haj flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport Delhi will depart to Madinah on July 04, 2019 whereas the last flight from Delhi airport will be on July 11, 2019.

Similarly, the first Air India Haj flight from Lucknow will depart to Madinah on July 21, 2019 whereas the last flight from Lucknow airport will be on August 05, 2019.

The first return and inbound flight to Delhi will be on August 17, 2019 from Jeddah International Airport, whereas the last flight carrying Uttar Pradesh Haj pilgrims to Delhi from Jeddah will be on August 25, 2019.

The first return and inbound flight to Lucknow will be on August 29, 2019 from Jeddah International Airport, whereas the last flight carrying to Lucknow from Jeddah will be on September 12, 2019.

Pilgrims need to go to Haj Committee of India website and enter their cover number to check the exact date and time of their Hajj 2019 flight.

Haj Embarkation Points

Pilgrims from India will travel to Makkah for Hajj 2019 from 22 Embarkation Points in 21 cities.

The Haj Committee of India has divided the 22 Haj Embarkation Points in 02 Laps. While the first Lap consists of 10 Embarkation Points, the second Lap consists of 12 Embarkation Points.

The 10 Haj Embarkation Points in the First Lap are: Bangalore, Calicut, Cochin, Delhi, Gaya, Goa, Guwahati, Mangalore, Mumbai and Srinagar.

The 12 Haj Embarkation Points in the Second Lap are: Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bhopal, Chennai Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Ranchi and Varanasi.

A total of 200,000 pilgrims will embark for Haj 2019 from India this year. India earlier had a quota of 175,000 pilgrims. Its quota was increased by 25000 during Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman's visit to India in February this year.

Uttar Pradesh with a population of 3,84,83,967 has been allocated a quota of 30,237 pilgrims.

Pilgrims going to Haj from Lucknow Embarkation Point are from the central districts of Uttar Pradesh including Ambedkar Nagar Auraiya, Badaun, Bahraich, Balrampur, Banda, Barabanki, Bareilly, Basti, C.S.M. Nagar (Amethi), Chitrakoot, Etah, Etawah, Faizabad, Farrukhabad, Fatehpur, Gonda, Hameerpur, Hardoi, Jalaun, Jhansi, Kannauj, Kanpur, Kasganj, Lakhimpur Kheri, Lalitpur, Lucknow, Mahoba, Mainpuri, Pilibhit, Pratap Garh, Rae Bareilly, Ramabai Nagar (Kanpur Dehat), Sant Kabir Nagar, Shahjahanpur, Shravasti, Siddharth Nagar, Sitapur, Sultanpur and Unnao.

Haj Pilgrims from the western districts of Uttar Pradesh - including Agra, Aligarh, Baghpat, Bhimnagar (Sambhal), Bijnore, Buland Shahar, Firozabad, Gautum Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Jyotiba Phule Nagar, Mahamaya Nagar (Hathras), Mathura, Meerut, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Panchsheel Nagar (Hapur), Prabudh Nagar (Kairana, Shamli), Rampur & Saharanpur, and also from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh,  Chandigarh and Uttarakhand will embark for Hajj 2017 from Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi.

Coinciding with Eid al Adha, Haj is the annual ritual to commemorate the sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim, his wife Hager and their son Prophet Ismael. The likely date of Wuqoof e Arafat - the key ritual of the Hajj, is August 09 or 10. As the Islamic calendar is based on sighting of moon, the final date will be decided once the new moon of the month of Dhul Hijjah is sighted.
