Hyderabad: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NALSAR) will conduct on Sunday May 10, CLAT 2020 (Common Law Admission Test), an official release said.
Candidates should note that the CLAT 2020 exam will be held only in Offline Mode. However, registration and application forms should be submitted only in Online Mode.
According to the official statement released by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NALSAR), Online registration will begin on January 01, 2020. A detailed notification giving last date of application, new exam pattern, admit card download date and other important information will be published in the last week of December.
However, as per the statement released today the Consortium has reduced the number of questions from 200 to 120-150 questions.
"Comprehension based questions would be asked from Quantitative Techniques, English, Current Affairs, Deductive Reasoning and Logical Reasoning," said the statement highlighting the change in the pattern of the questions for the Undergraduate entrance examination for admission in various law courses.
The duration of CLAT 2020 will be two hours.
The admission to UG and PG programmes in participating universities under CLAT-2020 shall be completed through centralised online counselling conducted by the CLAT Consortium Office. A dedicated website will also be launched for online admission process.
The basis of allotment of seats shall be 'merit-cum-preference', i.e., the CLAT Rank, the order of preference given by the candidate in the CLAT application form and the category/categories selected by the candidate in the online application form and the number of seats and their division/break-up as available in each of the participating NLU.
Online counselling will start after the declaration of CLAT 2020 results.
