Who is not aware of two southern superstars- Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth. Not only they are highly popular in southern movies but had a huge fan following across the globe.
Rajinikanth has created a buzz in the political circle by saying, "People in Tamil Nadu will ensure a huge miracle in 2021 elections’’, and made everyone wonder if there is a possibility of him entering politics for a full-term now. The superstar even had not ruled out the possibility of joining hands with Kamal Haasan, and that the chief ministerial candidate for Tamil Nadu would be decided closer to the polls. Rajinikanth’s statement at an event in Chennai has triggered a further indication that actor Rajinikanth is very much keen to join hands with Kamal Haasan for the welfare of Tamil Nadu.
It may be noted that actor Rajinikanth took a jibe at the current chief minister of the state Eddapadi Palaniswami at an event Úngal Naan’ organised to honour Kamal Haasan’s 50 years service to the cinema where Rajini said, "Miracles continue to happen in the state".
The actor was spotted telling the people, "Miracles are happening all around us. For instance, two years ago, Palaniswami would not have imagined becoming the chief minister. When he did, people said his rule will not last for more than a couple of weeks. However, it has been two years now, he is still in power. Hence, we can ascertain, miracles have happened yesterday, it continues to happen today, and it will happen tomorrow,’’ the actor added.
While Rajinikanth’s above comment had escalated the war of words between AIADMK and the actor himself. But Kamal Haasan seems to have backed Rajini’s ideology and felt it would not be very far when the two actors might come together again in the political arena for the wellness of the public and welfare of the citizen.
The AIADMK party has claimed the chief ministerial post of Palaniswamy was accredited to him for his consistent hard work and dedication to the cause of the party. The AIADMK mouthpiece ‘Namadhu Amma’ brought out an editorial mentioning that the chief minister is not a "reel leader" but a "real leader" who rose to the ranks of the party co claim the present position. The editorial said the position of chief ministership is not something that one aspires in one scene of a movie and fulfill in the subsequent film scenes.

Remember the Tamil blockbuster movie ‘’16 vayathinile’’ that was a miracle at the box office. The film trailed in the opening week but later on, picked up and created a history. That was a golden era in Tamil cinema. This film had two superstars - Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. Released in 1977, the film had placed Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan in the bracket of a superstar. It was the time when Sivaji Ganesan and M.G. Ramachandran were reaching their climax and people were looking for younger heroes. Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth were just apt to catch the attention of the viewers. The two had worked in a few more films that were too hot at the box office.
Coming to politics, while Kamal Haasan has already floated his party, Rajinikanth is yet to launch one. After Rajini’s ceritinib in full-term politics, the day is not far behind when superstar Rajinikanth will float a new party and decide on chief ministership of the state. Both Rajinikanth and Kamal have a huge fan following, but despite this, Kamal Haasan could not win a single seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha election. Maybe for this purpose, Kamal wants to pull his friend Rajinikanth closer to politics and his friendship, and emerge as a winner. What will happen in future, the time alone can ascertain?
