Sainik School Admission 2020-21: The Sainik School Society has started receiving online application from girl candidates seeking admission in 05 Sainik schools in different states of the country.
The registration window is opened today and the last date of application is December 06, 2019.
"Only for girl candidates- Online Registration open from 26 Nov 2019 to 06 Dec 2019, for admission to Sainik sSchools at Bijapur (Karnataka), Chandrapur (Maharashtra), Ghorakal (Uttarakhand), Kalikiri (Andhra Pradesh) and Kodagu (Karnataka)", an official notification on the website said.
There are 33 Sainik Schools across the country. Sainik School had opened admission to girl students in 2017, with the induction of six girls, in accordance with the pilot project undertaken by the Central government.
The Defence Minister has earlier approved a proposal to allow admission to girls in all Sainik schools from the academic year 2021-22 in a phased manner.
Candidates should note that registration for admission is for a particular school only under a particular category. Choice of schools given by the candidates does not assure that they will be considered for schools other than the first choice, in the normal course.
"If a Sainik School has surplus candidates in their published list of candidates after the admission process, they may be allotted other schools depending on vacancies available in other schools (under SC, ST, Home General, or Outside Home, Home Defence or Outside Home Defence Category as applicable) after all their candidates in the waiting list are admitted. Thereafter the merit as well as preference of the surplus candidates of other schools may be considered", the Sainik School Society said.
The Sainik School Society had started thorugh its official website sainikschooladmission.in online registration process for All India Sainik School Entrance Exam 2020 (AISSEE 2020) from August 05, 2019. The last date to apply was Septmber 23, 2019.
The Sainik Society will conduct All India Sainik School Entrance Exam 2020 (AISSEE 2020) on Sunday January 05, 2020. AISSEE 2020 Admit Card will be released on December 02, 2019.
