UPPSC PCS Result 2017: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) Thursday declared the result of Provincial Civil Services (PCS) Examination 2017.
Among those who successfully cracked the coveted exam are 03 candidates from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
As per the result declared by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), Amit Shukla, son of a nurse at a private clinic in Pratapgarh, is state topper.
Anupam Mishra of Allahabad bagged the 2nd slot, while Meenakshi Pandey secured the 3rd position.
Anupam Mishra had graduated from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad and was working as Software Engineer with an American firm. He however quit the plush job to fulfil his grandfather's dream who wanted his grandson to become Deputy Collector.
The three successful candidates from AMU are Dr Bushra Bano, Phd in Management, who will be posted as a Sub-Divisional Magistrate; Usman, selected to work as a Deputy Superintendent of Police, and Arvind Gautam, who will join as a Nayab Tehsildar.
"Dr Bushra has been attending the RCA since 2017-18 session, while Usman and Arvind are attending the coaching academy since 2016-17 session," said Professor Saghir Ahmad Ansari, Director, RCA.
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission is the state agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination for entry-level appointments to the various Civil Services of Uttar Pradesh.
