Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2020): Indian Instititue of Technology (IIT) Delhi, the organizing institute to conduct Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020 has extended the last date to apply for the exam to September 28, 2019.
"Because of heavy traffic load in the GATE application portal, the last date of application with normal fees has been extended up to 28th September", IIT Delhi said.
The last date to apply for GATE 2020 was earlier fixed as Septmeber 24. Candidates should also note that the Extended Closing Date for Submission of Online Application through wbsite is October 01, 2019.
GATE 2020 will be held between Februray 01 to February 09, 2020. GATE 2019 result will be declared on March 16, 2019.
Candidates should also note that Last Date for Requesting Change of Examination City (an additional fee will be applicable) is November 15, 2019.
"Admit Card will be available in the Online Application Portal (for printing) on January 03, 2020", IIT Madras said in GATE 2020 Exam Scedule which gives all date and time.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is basically an examination on the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science. GATE 2020 will be conducted for 25 subjects (also referred to as “papers”) and it would be distributed over 1st, 2nd, 8th & 9th of February 2020. The GATE examination centres are spread in different cities across India, as well as, in six cities outside India. The examination would be purely a Computer Based Test (CBT).
The application fee to be submitted with the application is: For General candidates - Rs. 1500/- For PWD/ ST/SC and female candidates - Rs. 750/-
There is additional fees if paid during extended period.
There is no age limit to appear for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). A graduate in B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Pharm, B. Arch, B.Sc. (Research)/ B.S, Pharm. D. (after 10+2), M. Sc./ M.A./MCA or equivalent, Int. M.E./ M.Tech. (Post-B.Sc.), Int. M.E./ M.Tech. or Dual Degree(after Diploma or 10+2) and other such exams can appear for GATE. Candidates in final year can also appear for GATE subject to the condition mentioned on GATE website.
After the successful registration and application fee submission, all registered candidates will be issued Admit Cards bu IIT Delhi. The Admit Card will be issued to the candidates on January 03, 2020. Candidates have to enter their enrollment ID and password to download their GATE 2020 Admit Card.
