Tamil Nadu 12th Result (2024) Declared, Pass Percentage Top 94.56%

TN board registered an overall Pass Percentage of 94.56 in the 2024 HSE +2 (Class 12) board exams

Tamil Nadu 12th Result 2024: Tamil Nadu State Board of Secondary Education (TNBSE) has announced Class 12 i.e. HSE +2 exam result 2024 on its official website tnresults.nic.in along with Pass Percentage details, Merit List and Toppers name.

TN board registered an overall Pass Percentage of 93.76 in the 2024 HSE +2 (Class 12) board exams.

TN 12th Pass Percentage in 2024 is 94.56 which is more than 1.5% higher than the 2023 exam when the state had registered an overall pass percentage of 94.03%.

Tamil Nadu Education Minister declared the TN 12th result at a press conferenece Monday May 06.

Overall Pass Percentage

As many as 7,60,606 lakh students from different districts of Tamil Nadu had appeared in the 12th board exam. A total of 7,19,196 have passed the exam with the board registering 94.56% pass percentage.

"The pass percentage of girl students is 96.44% whereas that of boys is 92.37%. A total of 2,478 schools, including 397 government schools, have achieved a 100% pass percentage", he added.

The pass percentage of the differently abled students in TN HSE +2 is 92.11%.

Students with 100% Marks

In Maths, 2,587 students have scored full marks while 633 in Physics and 471 in Chemistry scored 100% and 650 in Biology.

A record 6,996 students scored 100% marks in Computer Science.

TN DGE declared the 12th result of Science, Commerce and Arts - all three streams.

The pass percentage of Science stream is 96.35%. The Pass Percentage of Art stream is 85.67% and that of Commerce stream is 92.46%.

TN 12th Districtwise Result

The Tamil Nadu board has decided not to publish the names of the top ranking students. It however released the list of cities and districts with the highest pass percentage.

Among the districts, Tiruppur emerged topper with 97.95 pass percentage followed by Virudhunagar (97.27) and Ramanathapuram (97.02) pass percentage.

Class 12 or HSE Plus 2 exams in Tamil Nadu were held from March 01 to 22, 2024. About 7.6 lakh students from different districts of Tamil Nadu has appeared in the said board exams.

According to the Directorate sources, evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets was completed on April 13, 2024.

Candidates can also check their Plus Two results at dge.tn.gov.in, dge1.tn.nic.in, tnresults.nic.in and dge1.tn.nic.in.

TN 12th HSE Result on SMS

To get Tamil Nadu 12th Result 2024 as an SMS on phone, candidates will have to register the mobile number at the official websites.

Candidates are advised to contact their school to obtain hard copy of mark sheet from May 07, 2024 onwards from the website www.dge.tn.nic.in.

TN Board Exam 2023 Results

The TN board had registered a pass percentage of 94.03% in Class 12th exams of the year 2023.

Meanwhile, the Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu has also confirmed the date and time to release the Class 10 SSLC and HSE +1 or Class 11 result 2024.

The directorate said TN SSLC result 2024 will be declared on May 10 whereas Class 11 of Plus One result will be announced on May 14, 2024.
