Mumbai: Come April and its deciding moment for the HSC students in Maharashtra to search for a viable career. Having just finished their board exams, for the students the month is always abuzz with hectic activities as they along with their parents hunt for better career opportunities. The hectic activities for the Career Search are more profound in Muslim students, as unlike their counterparts from other religions, they are comparatively late in taking a decision for a right but viable career.

 

However the good sign is that the community has now risen to its responsibilities and to mend for the lost work, Anjuman-e-Islam, Urdu Head Masters’ Association, Association of Muslim Professionals, Students’ Solidarity Forum and Vidharbh Welfare Association are organizing a Career Fest entitled as Vision 2015 at Alma Latifi Hall, Sabu Siddique College Ground, Byculla in Mumbai on April 11 & 12.

 

“Career Fest-Vision 2015 to be inaugurated today at 09:30 in the morning at Alma Latifi Hall, Mumbai will be a total innovation for the students from the Urdu medium schools for they normally don’t get any opportunity to attend such programs that could help them choosing a right career at a right time”, Aamir Ansari, the program coordinator said while speaking to ummid.com.

 

“At the same time”, Aamir added, “We intend to make the two-day festival more useful for the students by joining hands with top-notch successful professionals from various fields to explain to the students and their parents the rightful ways to choose an appropriate career suitable for a particular student. For this purpose we have arranged ‘Career Stalls’ where professionals associated with reputed organization and belonging to different professions will explain to the students about the desired career options.”

 

The professionals who will be helping the students in the two-day Career Fest-Vision 2015 include Ashraf Engineer-Associate Editor Hindustan Times, Mohd Wajihuddin -Senior Journalist Times of India (Mumbai) , Shazia Ilmi-News Anchor Star News, Ejaz Akhtar-Chartered Accountant, Wasim Jaffer-Cricketer, Dr. Farooque-Pharmacist, Meher Tabassum-Robotics Scientist, Justice Shafee Parkar, Advocate Shahid Azmi, Nasir Rafique-Former Principal Institute of Hotel Management, Ahmedabad, Rashid Janu-Animator CNBC, Munaf Wadekar-Landscape Designer, Anwar Mazgaonkar-Chief Manager Bank of India, Zaheer Abbas-Pilot, Dr. A.R. Undre-General Surgeon and others. Apart from these professionals the organizers have also invited the staff from various Colleges and Institutions to guide the students about the course fee details, admission process and prerequisite for the courses that are run by their respective institutions.

 

Moreover the organizers would be distributing a Career Kit to every student who is coming to the Career Fest-Vision 2015 containing a Career Guide and a booklet having the names of colleges and the details of the courses they run.
