up the AMU Centre and decided to organize the official land
transfer ceremony. The Government of Kerala will be handing over
218 acres of land at a function to be held at Thiruvananthapuram
on December 28, 2010.
The Kerala government has already transferred 122 acres of land to
AMU in a public function in March 2010 thus making the Malappuram
campus a sprawling 340 acres.

the land transfer ceremony and the leader of opposition in Kerala
Assembly, Omen Chandi, the Minister of Higher Education, M. A.

marginalized social segments. The project aims at minority
education, women’s education, technical education, vocational

its all entirety the dimension of world-class standard equipped
with advanced digital and green field technology.
A major priority of the project is to set in motion the national
development goals of the Government of India through the inclusive
growth by reducing educational deficit. The partnership with the
state government and the overwhelming support the AMU is receiving
from the Government of Kerala. The State government has provided
free land. It is creating all facilities and building, supplying
infrastructure and has provided temporary accommodation to make
the Centre functional.
