Sharjah: The Sharjah Islamic Bank Sunday posted a third quarter net profit of 191.6 million dirhams (about $52 million).

The balance sheet grew since December 2009 with total assets reaching 16.3 billion dirhams from 16 billion dirhams.

Liquid assets rose by 410.2 million dirhams to reach 3.6 billion dirhams, up 22 percent, compared with 3.2 billion dirhams in December.

Customer deposits reached 10 billion dirhams compared with 9.9 billion dirhams in December.
