Sharjah: Innovative ayurvedic concepts are being showcased by a team of
doctors and state ayurveda councils at the first Indo-Arab Ayur
Fest that is underway in Sharjah.
The four-day fest - to promote ayurveda in the Middle East - was
inaugurated Wednesday by Ahmed Mohammed Al Midfa, chairman of the
Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Al Midfa congratulated the India Trade Centre for its innovative
ideas in promoting India-UAE trade relations.
Sanjay Verma, consul general of India, offered all support from
the consulate, and added that it was not just trade or investment
but that such exhibitions also foster stronger social and cultural
relations between nations.
The fair is being organised with the support of India's department
of Ayush and Care Kerala.
Around 15 companies and state ayurveda councils from India
displayed various ayurvedic concepts.
