Sharjah varsity holds graduation ceremony

Sharjah: The University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Saturday held a graduation ceremony where 460 students were awarded degrees.

The students were from the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, crown prince and deputy ruler of Sharjah, government officials and families of the graduates attended the ceremony.

University chancellor Samy A. Mahmoud said the university has become an "academic beacon" with a role to build a knowledge-based society and develop the nation and its human resources.
