London: Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak may resign Thursday evening and hand over power to Vice President Omar Suleiman, BBC reported.

Hossan Badrawi, the general secretary of Egypt's ruling National Democratic Party, told the broadcaster that he hopes Mubarak will transfer power.
