New Delhi: India and Britain Friday held discussions to further their cooperation in science and technology.

Science and Technology Minister Ashwani Kumar held talks with former British prime minister Gordon Brown on the sidelines of the Summer Davos conference under way in Dalian, China.

"Discussions were held on collaborative projects in scientific research, including futuristic and advanced research in nanotechnology, biotechnology, nuclear safety, material science, astrophysics and green technologies," said an official statement issued here.

Britain also offered assistance for facilitating achievement of universal education targets set by India and the achievement of millennium development goals, the statement said.
