Doha
(Qatar): Popular Islamic speakers Sheikh Yusuf Estes,
Dr Abdulaziz Hassan and Sheikh Omar bin TNalber educated an
audience of more than 300 people about the miracles of the Holy
Quran in Doha.
The sessions took place in Hyatt Plaza Shopping Mall and focused
on the subject “Discover why the Holy Quran is a way of Life for
Society”.
The event was organised in cooperation with Qatar Guest Center and was a vital part of the campaign to print 1 million
copies of the Holy Quran.
Yusuf Estes handled the session in English and the one hour long
lecture in his natural style made people laugh, reflect and think
at the same time. The evening also witnessed talks by Sheikh Omar
Bin TNalber from Philippines and Dr Abdul Aziz Hassan from Saudi
Arabia who shared valuable information about the Holy Quran and
how the teachings in Quran can transform our lives.
The campaign intends to make a larger global impact by
distributing the translations of the Holy Quran in various
countries around the world. Sheikh Saleh Al Tewjry, director of
Qatar Guest Center informed that the translated copies of Quran
will be distributed through various organisations and Islamic
centres based in various countries of Europe, Asia and America.
“The translations of Quran will be printed in various languages
and we will be distributing them along with CDs which contain
images and presentations of various scientific miracles in the
Quran. It will also include discussions by popular personalities
who have embraced Islam after reading the translation of Quran.”
Sheikh Saleh Al Tewjry distributed mementos to all the speakers.
“We believe that events like these always play a vital role in
building a positive society with high moral values and integrity,”
said Feroz Moideen, General Manager of Hyatt Plaza.
“On Behalf of
Hyatt Plaza, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to
Sheikh Yusuf Estes, Dr Abdulaziz Hassan, Sheikh Omar Bin TNalber
and Qatar Guest Center for their wonderful support and
collaboration", he added.
