Osmanabad (Maharashtra): In yet another shocking incident, similar to the Guwahati molestation case, a teenager in Maharashtra Saturday died of her burns after she set herself afire, following persistent harassment by a 22-year-old man, police said Saturday.

"The victim belonged to a remote village of Gaddevdhari in the district and was brought to Osmanabad city after she set herself afire early hours of Friday. She had sustained over 70 percent burns. She succumbed this afternoon," an official from Osmanabad rural police station told IANS.

The girl, according to police, was fed up of the harassment by Lakhan Aadav, also a resident of Gaddevdhari who often teased and stalked her. Aadav has been arrested.
