Girls shine, 67% pass in Jharkhand matric

Ranchi: Around 67.35
per cent of 4.34 lakh students have passed the matriculation
examination in Jharkhand, according to Jharkhand Academic Council
(JAC) Thursday.
In 2011, 69.43 percent students had passed the examination.
State Human Resource Development Minister Baijnath Ram said: "We
are celebrating 'bitiya varsh' (daughter's year) in the state.
This year, girls have performed well in tenth examination. Of the
15 toppers, 11 are girls."
Neetu Murmu topped the examination.
