325 highly accident prone spots in India

Monday April 29, 2013 08:29:30 PM, IANS

New Delhi: Thirteen states in India have 325 most accident prone spots, the Lok Sabha was informed Monday.

These account for the "highest rate of accidents and fatalities in the country", Road Transport and Highways Minister C.P. Joshi said in a statement.

He said these "black spots" -- 25 each in 13 states -- were located on national highways.

The minister said various short-term remedial measures had been taken for most of these spots.
