Najeeb Jung is new Delhi Lt Governor

Najeeb Jung, vice chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia here, has been named the Lt. Governor of Delhi, replacing Tejendra Khanna.

According to a presidential announcement here Monday, former Delhi police commissioner K.K. Paul, the husband of Omita Paul, principal secretary to President Pranab Mukherjee, has been appointed Meghalaya governor. He replaces Ranjit Shekhar Mooshahary.

Lt. Gen. (retd) A.K. Singh will be the Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, in place of Lt. Gen (retd.) Bhopinder Singh.

Virendra Kataria will be the new Lt. Governor of Puducherry, replacing Iqbal Singh.
