Complaint against Asad Owaisi for 'derogatory remarks' against Salman Khan
Saturday February 1, 2014 0:13 AM, ummid.com News Network

A local BJP leader on Friday registered a police complaint against Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi for provocative speech and making derogatory remarks against film star Salman Khan and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

The BJP leader, Sanjay, in his complaint lodged at Mumbai's DB Marg Police Station has alleged Owaisi of using inappropriate language against Salman Khan and Narendra Modi, and asked the police to register an FIR against Asaduddin Owaisi and arrest him.

The BJP youth leader also released a video in which Owaisi is seen making what he termed as derogatory remarks against Salman Khan.

He however said that his complaint was not linked with Owais's appeal to boycott Salman Khan's film 'Jai Ho'.

"My main complaint against Owaisi is the language which he had used against Salman Khan and Narendra Modi", he said while talking to reporters.

"As a member of parliament, it is improper for him to use such a language", he added.

At a public meeting four days after Salman Khan praised Narendra Modi, Asaduddin Owaisi targeted the actor with choice expletives, dismissed him as a mere "nachle gaane wala''.

Asking the audience not to watch his "behudapana'', he said, "Naam Salman rakhne se koyi Musalman nahi ban jaata, Salman to Rushdie bhi hai.''
