Kiev: A bill denouncing the treaty on institution of the Commonwealth of Independent States was tabled in the Ukrainian parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, Friday.
It was initiated by the country's former foreign minister Boris Tarasyuk, who is currently a deputy representing Batkivshchina (Homeland) party, the Rada's press service said.
Acting Foreign Minister Andrei Deshchisa said earlier the incumbent Ukrainian authorities were planning to leave the CIS "due to the inability of that organisation to serve as an instrument of settling conflicts between its members".
