"Students whose names appear in third special merit list can take their admission on 1st, 2nd September 2016 in the respective junior college", he said.
"If the student names appear in this special merit list they can cancel their previous admission", he added.
The Director of Education Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) has so far not minced a word about the SSC ATKT students or the students who appeared for the Supplementary / Repeaters exam held in the month of July / August, 2016 and whose results were declared yesterday i.e. August 30, 2016 - the last day of filling application form for the last and final Special Round 3 for admission to the FYJC 2016.
In the absence of suitable guidelines from the education department, many students who passed the July 2016 Supplementary exam rushed to apply for admission to the FYJC. There are however many others who could not do so as the results were declared at 01:00 pm Tuesday.
"There was almost no time gap between the result announcement and the filling up online application form for the FYJC Special Round 3. It is due to this many students could not fill their forms", Aisha Sheikh, a teacher, said.
"It will be good if the departement extende the date by at least a day", she added.
The online FYJC admission process was marred by controversies ever since it started after the SSC Regular exam results were announced in June. While the students and parents demanded simultaneous offline admission system, the department declined and went ahead with the online process.
