CBSE Class X results 2016 likely to be declared today

Though the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is yet to make an official announcement, multiple reports taking round in the media suggest that the results of the Class X exams 2016 will be announced today i.e. Friday May 27, 2016.

It is expected that the CBSE Class X (Class 10) results 2016 will be declared today exactly at or before 01:00 pm.

The class 10th results can be accessed on three websites- www.results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in and www.cbse.nic.in.

The Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani has earlier announced that there will not be any delay in the result declarartion, and all results including CBSE Class 10 results, will be declared before May 31.

The CBSE declared the Class XII results on Saturday i.e. May 21. It in fact surprised the students by publishing the results online about an hour before the scheduled time. Prior to declaration of the Class XII 2016 results, the CBSE had issued official release giving details of date and time of results.

In the case of Class 10 (Class X), the CBSE is yet to make an official announcement. But, the CBSE had on May 23 declared the results of CTET Februrary 2016 exam without prior announcement.Hence, though speculative, it is most likely that the CBSE will declare Class 10 results 2016 today.

Students, who appeared in the Class 10 board exams, can check their results on the official website. The following are the steps they should take to check the results:

  • Firstly, the candidates should log on to the website and click on the live link CBSE Class 10 board exam results 2016
  • In the new window that opens, the candidates should fill in the requisite details such as registration number, name
  • After filling the details, press the button to submit
  • The results would appear on the screen
  • Take a print out of the same for future reference.

According to the board, of the total 14,99,122 registered students for Class 10th examination, 8,92,685 are boys and 6,06,437 are girls.

The schools will automatically get their results on the email ids already registered with the Board.

The Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE) was established on November 3, 1962 and has its headquarters in Preet Vihar, New Delhi. The CBSE is responsible for regulating and supervising the development of education in the country. It's primary function includes to prepare academic programmes and organise examinations, especially for class 10 and class 12 students.
