Malegaon:
Tearing into Narendra Modi's claim that his government is not driven by caste, creed or religion, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday accused the Prime Minister of religious bias and said NDA government's two years have been detrimental for the poor especially the Muslims.

"You always talk of 125 crore Indians Mr Modi... About their growth and developlement. You claim that your government is not driven by caste, creed or religion. But the fact is that everything you do is laced with brazen religious bias", Owaisi said while addressing a huge rally in Malegaon Saturday evening.

"More than 4000 farmers have committed suicide in Maharashtra alone. The powerloom industry is dying. Labours working in textile units are becoming jobless. Aren't these poor lots part of your 125 crore family?" Owaisi asked.

"If yes, then why have you imposed anti-dumping duty on import of synthetic yarn? You are risking the livelihood of millions for the sake of one person who lives in 27-storey huge building in Mumbai", he said.

"We don't want the 15 lakh rupees you promised to deposit in the accounts of each one of us. We will be happy if you remove this anti-dumping duty on yarn", he said.

Giving accounts of Non Performing Assets (NPA) and linking the data with suicide of farmers, Owaisi accused the Modi government of playing into the hands of few capitalists.

"The country's budget is about 18 lakh crore rupees whereas the NPA with our banks stand at 13 lakh crore rupees. What kind of "acche din" is this Mr. Modi", he asked.

"Under your government, a farmer who has taken a loan of 02 lakh rupees is forced to commit suicide. In contrast to this, a person borrows 9000 crore rupees from banks and run away from the country. Still, you talk of sab ka saath sab ka vikas", Owaisi said.

Questioning the NIA's U-Turn in the 2008 Malegaon blast case and clean chit to Sadhavi Pragya Singh, Owaisi accused the Modi government of double standard.

"A Msulim woman owner of a car used in 1993 Mumbai blast is serving life term. But, in case of Sadhavi Pragya Singh Thakur who owned the motorcycle used in 2008 Malegaon blast case, your investigating agencies say she is innocent", he said.

"What kind of justice is this Mr. Modi?", he asked.

Owaisi also questioned the stand taken by the BJP ruled governments in New Delhi and Maharsahtra over reservation to Muslims.

"The Bombay High Court says Muslims need reservation. But, your government says No, they don't deserve it. Then, why your government is supporting to reservation fo Jats in Haryana and for Patels in Gujarat?", he asked.

"Why this double standard? If you talk of 'sab ka saath sab ka vikaas' and claim that your fovernment is not biased against any community, then you should treat everyone equally", he said.

Raising the issue of Muslims who are wrongly framed in botched up cases, Owaisi demanded from the government to punish erring police officers and apologise to innocent Muslims.

"The Malegaon men discharged in the 2006 Malegaon blast case were brutally tortured. Their precious ten years have been ruined. They should be adequately compensated, erring policemen should be punished, and the government should apologise to them", Owaisi said.

Slamming the Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) for their accusations that the AIMIM is hands-in-glove with the BJP, Owaisi the two parties have been infiltrated by RSS workers and sympethisers.

Owaisi also mocked the recently held dharna organised by the Congress at Azad Maidan, Mumbai to protest clean chit given to Sadhavi Pragya Singh.

"They are asking why Sadhavi Pragya Singh Thakur is being set free. But, will these Congress leaders explain why innocent Muslims were framed in botched up cases under their rule?", Owaisi asked.

Besides others, the rally was also addressed by AIMIM MLAs Waris Pathan and Imtiyaz Jaleel.
