Bhiwani (Haryana): Hours after it released on Monday, the Haryana Board of Secondary Education (HBSE), also known as Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH), withdrawn the results of Matric Class 10 SSC exams held in March 2017 over Merit List goof-up.
“Due to some technical error, the Board of School Education Haryana is rectifying the result of Secondary Examination, March-2017,” the education board said in a statement.
Its chairperson Jagbir Singh said the computer changed the three-digit 100 score into two digit, giving D grade to top scorers due to some problem, according to Hindustan Times.
“A fresh list of toppers will be declared by later Monday evening,” Singh said adding 2 employees of the board have been suspended for negligence.
In the original merit list issued by the board, Monika Rani of Fatehabad was declared as the topper with 493 marks out of 500, followed by Rupesh of Bhiwani with 491 marks. The third position was shared by 4 candidates, all of whom scored 490 marks each, it said.
The board’s chairperson said the merit list stands cancelled as of now.
The HBSE Class X results were declared today on Monday May 22 at 04:00 pm on the board's official and associate websites.
After declaration by the Haryana HBSE board, the Matric Class 10 SSC results 2017 are accessible on bseh.org.in as well as on IndiaResults.com.

Media reports citing BSEH Bhiwani board officials had earlier said that the HBSE Class 10 results will be declared on board's website as well as IndiaResults - HBSE board's exclusive partneron Monday May 22, 2017.
The Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani was established in the year 1969. The board conducted its first examination at the Secondary Level in the year 1970 and Higher Secondary in the year 1976.
The board to improve the education standard in the state adopted the 10+2 pattern of education as per the new national education scheme starting from 1987.
To fulfil the need of vocational education, the board started conducting the vocational examination at intermediate level starting from the year 1990.
The Board of School Education Haryana for the convenience of students who are unable to pursue regular education classes has established Haryana Open School.
