New Delhi: The result of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 board exam 2017 will not be released today as widely being speculated in the media. As per reports citing board sources, the CBSE Class XII result 2017 has been delayed by about a week due to various reasons.
Multiple media reports are claiming that the CBSE Class XII results 2017 will be declared today Wednesday May 24. But, the CBSE board is neither refuting nor confirming the reports widely taking rounds in the media.
However the reason why the CBSE could not declare the 12th CBSE result today is that it has a tradition of announcing the result declaration date at least a day in advance. And, the CBSE has not done this so far.
The other reason why the CBSE results 2017 are expected to be delayed because of court matter.
The CBSE had earlier decided to scrap its marks moderation policy. The matter went to the court after some parents filed a petition against the CBSE decision. In response to which the Delhi High Court on Tuesday directed the CBSE to follow its ‘moderation policy’ of giving grace marks to students for this year.
As per some sources within CBSE, the court order would have a severe impact on the CBSE result declaration schedule, as most of the evaluation work and processing of result data excluding the moderation policy marks have bee completed.
The CBSE Class XII and Class X exams were earlier postponed due to the assembly elections held in five states. And, since the exams were held late, the assessment and evaluation process would definitely be delayed, some teachers feel.
Yet it is most likely that the CBSE may spring a surprise and declare the results today as being speculated in the media. Once declared, the CBSE Class 12 results would be available on the board's official website.
