In a shocking incident a running Hyundai i20 car caught fire in Malegaon Friday at around 07:15 late in the evening. No casualties reported.

Talking to ummid.com eyewitnesses said the white colour Hyundai i20 car caught fire and burst into flames near Hutatma Chowk just in front of the Eid-Gah ground in Camp area of Malegaon.

"The car was coming from the MSG College side when all of a sudden it caught fire near the government rest house in front of the Eid Gah ground", eyewitnesses said.

Videos and photographs shared on social media platforms showed flames coming out from the bonnet of the running car.

The Hyundai i20 car burnt for more than 15 minutes. It was controlled only after fire fighters were called.

The cause of fire is not immediately known. No casualties reported so far.

Hyundai i20 has so far been regarded as one of the best selling cars.
