Ahmedabad: Displaying Rs. 10 lakh which he claimed received as advance, Narendra Patel, a Patidar leader from North Gujarat Saturday alleged that he was offered Rs 1 cr to join the BJP.
Narendra's Patel's revealation came on the day when Varun Patel and Reshma Patel - two close aides of Hardik Patel joined the BJP, weeks before the state election.
After joining the NJP Varun Patel said the Patidar community will never allow the Congress party to take over the reins of Gujarat.
"The BJP government (in the state) held talks with us in the past to resolve various issues. However, the Congress never held such talks, as they were not committed. We have decided to join BJP because we do not want to run the agitation by becoming Congress agents," said Varun Patel.
