Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, Bollywood's top Khans who had earlier refused to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, met Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday and explored opportunities for co-production between Bollywood and the Canadian film industry.
Justin Trudeau is on a week-long official visit to India. His meeting with Bollywood's top Khans and other top stars took place in Mumbai amid reports that he has been snubbed by Prime Minister Modi.
Trudeau, accompanied by his wife Sophie and kids, Xavier and Ella, met Shah Rukh Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Aamir Khan, R Madhavan and Anupam Kher among many Bollywood celebs.
Sporting an intricate golden sherwani, the Canadian PM impressed all with his love for India. Not just him, his family too turned up in Indian clothes -- wife Sophie wore a cream-coloured embroidered sari with matching pearl chandbali (ear rings) and maang tika (a head ornament) while his daughter wore a legenga choli and son, a churidar kurta respectively.
He later tweeted thanking the Bollywood stars for making him feel at home.

On his arrival in India, Trudeau was received by a junior minister. He went to Agr to visit Taj Mahal but Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Adityanath was nowhere in sight. When Trudeau visited Gujarat, state Chief Minister Vijay Rupani did not receive the visiting guest at the airport.
The government officials though said the visiting Prime Minister is being accorded the hospitalities as per the protocol.
Modi, famous for his hugs, had frequently reached the airport to receive visiting dignitaries. He had even accompanied Chinese President and his Japanese counterpart when the two visited Gujarat - the prime minister's home state. He is sheduled to meet Trudeau on February 23.
However, Bollywood Khans meeting with Justic Trudeau is creating a wave because they had eralier refused to share with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu a similar event in Mumbai organised a few months back.
