Karnataka CET 2018 result: The Karnataka Education Department has finally declared online the result of Karnataka Common Entrance Test (Karnataka CET 2018) on its official website karresults.nic.in.

According to result details released by the KEA, more girls have qualified for engineering seats as compared to boys. A total of 73,197 girls have succeeded in comparison to 72, 866 boys.

Details also showed that Shridhar Dodamani of Vijayapura has obtained the 1st rank in engineering and the 2nd rank holder is Narayan Pai from Dakshina Kannada. Tuhin Girinath from Bengaluru has ranked 4th. The only girl topper from Bengaluru is Aneeta James who has obtained the 5th rank.

Students should note that document verification will now commence from June 5 at 16 centres across the state.

Earlier, thousands of students who appeared for Karnataka Common Entrance Test (Karnataka CET 2018) were puzzled as confusion over the KCET result declaration continued for the second day on Friday.

The KCET 2018 result was supposed to be declared on May 30. Students however were later told that the Karnataka CET 2018 result will be declared on Friday at 10:00 in the morning. The official result information website, results.nic.in, also flashed message that K CET 2018 result will be declared today at 10:00 am.

However, as students thronged to internet at 10:00 am they did not find their result. Meanwhile reports said that KCET 2018 result declaration will be delayed further as a minister is yet to take charge of his office after the formation of new government in the Karnataka state.

Karnataka Education Department also said that as the KCET and other results are usually announced by the higher education minister every year , they’re waiting for a minister to take charge and announce the results.

Finally the KCET 2018 result was declared today afternoon.

Karnataka SSLC, PUC and other board exam results were declared before the state went to polls on May 12. Then Education Minister Tanveer Sait had declared the 2018 board exam result in the first week of May.

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2018) was held on April 18, 19 and 20. It is a mandatory test for admissions to Medical, Dental, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, Naturapathy and Yoga, Engineering, B.Sc Agriculture, Sericulture, Forestry, Horticulture, B-Pharma and D-Pharma courses and is applicable only to the students of Karnataka.

The common entrance test cell was established in the year 1994 for conducting entrance tests to determine the merit of the candidates for admission to professional courses such as Medical, Dental, Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy, Engineering / Technology and Architecture courses, Farm science, B-Pharm, Pharm-D courses.
