Over 9700 new posts in Indian Railways, Apply before June 30

New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways on Tuesday invited applications from eligible candidates for more than 9700 posts in Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF).

In a statement released today, Ministry of Railways said it wanted to fill as many as 9,739 posts in RPF/RPSF.

"Ministry of Railways has invited online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to 8,619 posts of Constables (4,403 Male and 4,216 Female) and 1120 posts of Sub-Inspectors (819 Male and 301 Female) in the Railway Protection Force/Railway Protection Special Force", the ministry said.

The Ministry of Railways has also released official notification in English and Hindi for both i.e. RPF Recruitment for the post of Sub Inspector (SI/RPF - 02/2018) and RPF Recruitment for the post of Constable (Constable/RPF - 01/2018).

According to the notification, the online application will start on June 01, 2018 and the last date to apply has been fixed as June 30, 2018. Last date for online fee payment is July 02, 2018 whereas last date for off line fee payment is July 05, 2018.

Meanwhile, the examination schedule of Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Group D and Group C 2018 posts will be announced soon. The Indian Railways has received more than 02 crore applications for about 01 lakh posts in the two categories.

The exams for RRB Group D and Group C posts were supposed to be held in April/May 2018. The exams are however delayed due to the large number of applications.

As the normal practice, the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) releases the Exam schedule much in advance and the Admit Card of the registered candidates at least 15 days before. Prior to declaring the Admit Cards or Hall Tickets, Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) also releases the list of approved and rejected applications after scrutiny. However as on today the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) has not released the list of approved and rejected applications.
