Zilla School student Granthon Sengupta tops West Bengal 12th HS 2018 exam

West Bengal HS Result 2018: Showing impressive performance of West Bengal government schools, Granthon Sengupta, a student of Jalpaiguri Zilla School, has topped the WBCHSE Class 12th HS 2018 examinations result of which is declared today.

Granthon Sengupta of Jalpaiguri Zilla School scored 496 out of the total 500 marks to secure the 1st top position in West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) 12th HS 2018 exam.

Rittwick Kumar Sahoo of Tamluk Hamilton School came 2nd with 493 marks. On the other hand, Timir Baron Das and Saswata Roy jointly shared the 3rd rank. The West Bengal state recorded an overall pass percentage of 83.75.

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) declared online the result of WBCHSE Class 12th HS 2018 examinations today on Friday June 08 at 10:00 am. WBCHSE Class 12th students can check their results at wbchse.nic.in and wbresults.nic.in.

Steps to check WBCHSE Class 12th HS Result 2018

  • Click here to go to the official website of the West Bengal Board: wbresults.nic.in
  • Click on ‘WBCHSE Class 12th HS Result 2018’
  • Enter your roll number and date of birth in the provided space
  • Click on Submit button
  • Take a print out for further reference

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) had conducted the Class 12th HS exams from 27 March, 2018 to April 11, 2018. Around 8.26 lakh students had appeared for the West Bengal board Higher Secondary 2018 examination.

In 2017, the WBCHSE HS result was declared on May 30, 2017. A total of 7,44,507 students had appeared for the West Bengal 12th class exam in 2017. The council had registered an overall pass percentage of 84.20 in 2017.

The West Bengal Madhyamik or Class 10 Matric result was declared on June 06, 2018.

The West Bengal Government established the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) in the year 1975. The head office of WBCHSE is located in Vidyasagar Bhavan, Salt Lake, Kolkata and has 4 regional offices across West Bengal. It also has offices at Bidhannagar, Karunamoyee, Kolkata, other than the regional offices. The WBCHSE is the government-recognized autonomous examining authority for Class 12th.
