Islamabad: Pakistan Ministry of Religious Affairs has started receiving Hajj applications from February 25, 2019 from the designated branches of fourteen scheduled banks under Government Scheme. The last date to submit online Haj applications is March 06, 2019.
The final list of Haj pilgrims who will embark to Makkah for the year's Hajj will be prepared after draw of lots.
"The selection of Hujjaj of the Government of Pakistan Hajj Scheme will be made through computerized balloting. The whole process would operate according to new Hajj Policy announced last month", the Ministry of Religious Affairs said.
Total Hajj Quota under Government scheme is 179,210 + 5,000 for Hajj 2019. The additional quota of 5,000 will be allotted to newly-enrolled, non-quota-holding companies.
Pakistan Government has reserved 10,000 seats for the Hajj applicants who have not been selected in ballot continuously for the last three years. Such applicants will be selected directly.
Likewise, about 10,000 seats are reserved for senior citizens (above the age of 80 years). Female pilgrims above the age of 80 years may be accompanied by female assistant along with their Mehram. Male pilgrims of same age group would be accompanied by one helper.
Pilgrims should note that machine readable International Pakistani Passport (IMRPP) valid up to 10th February, 2020 (or February 2, 2020) and a valid CNIC will be required for submission of the Hajj application in the banks.
The Hajj dues for Hajj 2019 under the Government Hajj Scheme will be Rs 436,975 and Rs 426,975 for North (which includes Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Multan, and Rahim Yar Khan) and South (which comprises Karachi, Quetta, and Sukkur), respectively. Qurbani charges will be Rs 19,451 (optional).
The name of the banks are Habib Bank Limited, United Bank Limited, National Bank of Pakistan, MCB Bank Limited, Allied, Bank Limited, Bank of Punjab, Meezan Bank, Bank Al-Falah, Bank Al-Habib, Zarai Taraqiati Bank, Faysal Bank, Habibmetro Bank Limited, Askari Bank and Dubai Islamic Bank.
Haj flight schedule will be published once the final list of haj pilgrims is prepared.
