Maharashtra SSC 10th Result 2019: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has declared the result of the Secondary School Certification (SSC) Class 10th board exams held in the month of March today i.e. Saturday June 08, 2019.

The Maharashtra state has recorded a pass percentage of 77.10% - a massive drop by around 12.31% as compared to last years when the 10th SSC Pass Percentage was 89.41%. This is the lowest pass percentage in the history of Maharashtra board exam. The last lowest pass percentage was 78 in 2007.

While giving details of the result MSBSHSE Chairperson Shankuntala Kale said a total of 16,18,602 students had appeared for the 2019 Maharashtra board SSC exams. Of them, only 12,47,903 students have cleared the exam.

"The drop in pass percentage could be due to change in the exam pattern and emphasis on comprehensive understanding in the exam rather than mugging up answers", Kale said

A total of 20 students from across the state have scored 100 per cent marks in the Maharashtra SSC exam and became 2019 toppers. The Maharashtra board did not publish the names of 20 SSC toppers. Last year, 125 students had scored 100 percent result.

16 of 20 Toppers from Latur

Region-wise the pass percentage of Latur is 72.887. But, in an impressive result, 16 of the 20 SSC Class 10 toppers in Maharashtra who scored 100 per cent marks are from Latur. Of them , 07 toppers are from Keshavraj School and 03 are from Deshikendra School, Latur.

The spectacular performance by these students has refreshed the memories of "Latur Pattern".

Like 12th board exam, Konkan Division has also topped the state with 88.38% result in SSC exam. Nagpur is at the bottom with 67.27% pass percentage. The 2nd in line among District toppers is Kolhapur - 86.58%, Pune - 82.48%, Nasik - 77.58%, Mumbai - 77.04%, Aurangabad - 75.20%, Latur - 72.87% and Amravati - 71.98%.

Girls outperformed boys with 82.82% result. Pass percentage of boys stood at 72.18%.

The Maharashtra SSC Class 10th result of all 09 divisions inclduing Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Konkan, Nagpur and Latur have been declared at a press conference The result will be accessible to students today at 01:00 pm.

How to check Maharashtra SSC Result 2019 via SMS

Maharashtra students can also request their results through SMS. For this, they are required to type MHSSC followed by <seat no> on their mobile phones and send to: 57766. The Printed Marksheet will be given to students later on at the respective schools.

Passing Criteria

Passing criteria for Maharashtra 10th SSC Board exam is aggregate 35 per cent marks in addition to scoring a minimum of 20 per cent marks in theory exam.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is divided in nine Divisional Boards located in Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Latur, Nagpu, Amravati and Ratnagiri. The Maharashtra board declares the 10th results of all the nine dvisional boards on the same day and at the same time.

The 2019 Class 10 exams were held from March 01 and ended on March 22, 2019. More than 16 lakh students from all across Maharashtra appeared for the 10th SSC 2019 board exam at over 4,600 centres.

Maharashtra board 10th Pass Percentage, Toppers

In 2018, the MSBSHSE Pune had declared SSC Class 10 result on June 08, 2018. Maharashtra recorded a pass percentage of 89.41 in 2018 SSC Class 10 Matric exam.

As many as 125 students across the nine divisions in Maharashtra had scored 100 per cent marks, meaning they got 600 out of the total 600 marks in 2018. As many as 63,331 students across the state had scored 90 per cent or above.

The Maharahstra board also has a unique online system for verification of scorecards. Called eMarkSheet, it is a web portal for online verification of statement of marks as well as certificate for SSC (10th) & HSC (12th) for seamless delivery of information/services to its stakeholder like students, colleges, employers etc. in the state of Maharashtra.
