New Delhi: The Congress on Wednesday released its 2nd list of 21 candidates for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Among the 21 - all from Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra, are Zafar Ali Naqvi, Kaisar Jahan and Parvez Khan.
While Zafar Ali Naqvi has been fielded from Kheri Lok Sabha seat, Kaisar Jahan and Parvez Khan have been respectively nominated from Sitapur and Sant Kabir Nagar parliamentary constituencies. All three seats are in Uttar Pradesh.
Others who figured in the Congress 2nd list for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections are Priya Dutt from Mumbai North-Central, Milind Deora from Mumbai South in Maharashtra and Raj Babbar from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh.
On the other hand, Sanjay Singh has been fielded from Sultanpur and former cabinet minister Sriprakash Jaiswal from Kanpur.
Savitri Phule who resigned the BJP to join Congress will contest the 2019 General Elections from Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh.
Namdev Dulluji Usendi will contest from Gadchiroli-Chimur and Kisan Congress chief Nana Patole, who quit the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), will contest from Nagpur against Nitin Gadkari.
The Congress party had released its first list of 15 candidates for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls on March 07. Besides Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, the 1st list also included the names of Salman Khutsheed, Imran Masood and Saleem Iqbal Shervani.
The 2019 Lok Sabha elections will be held in 07 phases with 1st phase starting from April 11, 2019. The 2019 Lok Sabha election result will be declared on May 23.
