Khartoum: Sudan has recorded 15 new confirmed coronavirus cases during the past 24 hours, the Federal Ministry of Health announced Tuesday.
Citing epidemiological reports of April 21, the ministry noted that the new 15 cases were registered in Khartoum state, bringing the total number of COVID-19 infections in the country to 107, with eight recoveries and 12 fatalities.
The ministry emphasized the importance for all citizens to abide by applying the preventive health guidelines and to immediately report suspected cases of the virus infection.
Sudanese authorities announced on 18 April imposing a three-week lockdown on the capital Khartoum as part of efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
