Delhi Police personnel had stormed the Jamia Millia Islamiah Campus on Sunday December 15, 2019 following violent protest against Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 outside.
Later reports said that the police went inside the campus without the needed permission.
Eyewitnesses and video footage however showed that the Delhi Police used excessive force against the students, some of them who did not have anything to do with the protest and were studying in the library.
Video footages also showed the Delhi Personnel not only brtually targeting the Jamia students but also damaging the library furniture and CCTV cameras.
Mohd Minhajuddin is one of the such students brutally beaten by the Delhi Police personnel on the fateful evening of December 15, 2019.
Defending its actions, Delhi Police said they were chasing the "violent mob" that entered inside the Jamia campus.
