Haj 2020 First Balance Amount Payment: The Haj Committee of India on Saturday extended the last date to make the First Balance Amount Payment (also called as First Installament Amount Payment) till March 31, 2020.
"The last date for remittance of First Balance Amount @ Rs.1,20,000/- each by the provisionally selected pilgrims of Haj-2020 is hereby extended upto 31st March 2020", the Haj Committee of India said in a staement signed by its CEO Dr. Maqsood Ahmed Khan.
The Haj Committee of India had earlier fixed the last date to deposit the First Balance Amount of Rs. l,20,0001/- each as March 15, 2020. The last date to make the payment has now been extended.
The Hajj Committee of India has not cited any reason for extending the last date to make the First Balance Amount Payment (also called as First Installament Amount Payment).
The Hajj Committee of India had earlier also extended the last date to make the payment of Advance Haj amount @ Rs.81,000/- per pilgrim from February 15 to February 25, 2020.
"Third instalment will be decided after finalization of tender for Airfare amount in Dollars, Saudi expenses in Saudi Riyal and will be intimated later. The details of expenditure for Haj-2020 for respective Embarkation and Accommodation Category will be displayed on website i.e. http://hajcommittee.gov.in", the committee said.

The Haj Committee of India in co-ordination with State Haj Committees will soon start confirmation of pilgrims in the Waiting List who will be given the chance to embark on Haj travel in the year 2020.
As per the Haj Committee of India norms, selection of pilgrims in the state-wise draw of lot, Qurrah, is provisional unless and untill they deposit the Advance Haj Amount of Rs.81,000/- per person. Failure to deposit the Haj Advance Amount before the due date is treated as cancelation of their selection.
In such an event, pilgrims in the waiting list are given chance to deposit the Haj Advance Amount and confirm their pilgrimage to Makkah.
Though there is no public communication or announcement from the Haj Committee in this regard. However, sources said the Haj Committee in cooperation with State Haj Committees is finalising the state-wise list of pilgrims who have deposited the Advance Haj Amount and confirmed their travel to Makkah for the annual Haj ritual.
After the confirmed slection of all Haj pilgrims, the Haj Committ of India will publish the Haj 2020 flight schedule from as many as 22 embarkation points of India.
However as per the Haj Action Plan 2020, the first outbound flight for Haj 2020 will depart from India on June 25, 2020. The last outbound Haj 2020 flight will be on July 26, 2020. The first inbound Haj flight from Saudi Arabia to India will be on August 04, 2020.
"The detailed Haj 2020 flight schedule with cover number of selected pilgrims will be released later on", the Haj Committee of India said.
