Malegaon: In a rarest of rare case, a baby-girl born in Malegaon today i.e. Thursday April 1, 2021 shared birthday with her mother and father leading to an unprecedented jubilation in the family.
“Aprila”, as the baby will be called till her actual name is finally decided by the family, was born around 09:35 am Thursday on the same day as her mother Sumayya and father A Haseeb Faizee were born.
“It was a normal delivery, and the baby and mother both are healthy and doing well”, Dr Anjum Aara told ummid.com.
According to Tumulesh Solanky, Chair of the Department of Mathematics at the University of New Orleans, the chance of marrying someone born the same day as you is one in 365. The chance of two people being born on the same day and having a baby on their birthday is about 1/365 times 1/365.
"That comes out to 0.0000000751 - seven zeros and then 751, or about 7.5 in a million. This comes to about 1 in 133,000", he said.
Few weeks ago, the family feared it will be a caesarean delivery. However, the fate was on the family’s side and the baby arrived after a smooth and normal delivery.
“Sumayya was not doing well a few weeks ago and hence we feared she will end up in a C-section delivery. But, Alhamdulillah things worked out well and it was a normal delivery”, Haseeb Faizee, Interior Designer and partner at Athar Faizee Architect & Team, told ummid.com.
Haseeb married Sumayya on December 28, 2019. It was an arranged marriage. and it was only after they tied the knot that they came to know that they shared the same birthday. But never ever they expected that they will be so lucky to have their baby born on the same day.
“It was not planned. In fact we never expected this. This is all grace of Allah and His blessings”, the delighted parents said.
Coming in the month of Shaban and about a week’s before Ramadan – two of the holiest months of the Islamic Calendar, the birth of “Aprila” becomes more special for the parents.
“I always felt blessed for having 1st of a month as my birthday. Then, Sumayya, who was also born on the same day as I… that we never knew and expected before our marriage… And, now my daughter…. These are the rarest and rare coincidences for the world… But we consider them as very special blessings bestowed upon us by the Almighty Allah”, Haseeb said.
