Banswara (Rajasthan): In a speech dubbed as ‘full of lies’ and ‘obnoxious’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday April 21, 2024 hurled abuses at Muslims calling them ‘infiltrators’ and referred to them as ‘those who have more children’.
Addressing a BJP rally in Rajasthan’s Banswara, Narendra Modi accused the Congress Party of planning to snatch the wealth of Hindus and distribute it to Muslims.
“You plan to snatch the (wealth of Hindus) in your manifesto? All gold will be taken away and distribute them? When they were in power, they said Muslims have the first right on the wealth of the country. It means the wealth taken away from will be distribute to whom? To them who have more kids. To them who are infiltrators”, Modi said.
“This is said in the Congress manifesto. They said their government will make assessments of the gold of our mothers and sisters, and give them away to Muslims who according to Manmohan Singh government, have the first right on the country’s wealth”, PM Modi reiterated.
“This urban-naxal mindset, my mothers and sisters, they will not even spare your ‘Mangalsutra‘. They can stoop to that level,” Modi said.

“Is it acceptable to you? Do governments have the right to confiscate your property which you have earned through hard work? The gold with our mothers and sisters is not for showing off, it is related to their self-respect.
“The value of their ‘Mangalsutra’ is not in gold or its price but it is related to her dreams in life and you are talking about snatching it,” Modi said.
PM Modi’s speech sparked a huge outrage with many calling it hate speech, scaremongering, Islamophobic, and spreading misinformation.
Commending the comments and references made by Narendra Modi in his Rajasthan rally, the Congress said the party’s manifesto never said what the Prime Minister is claiming. The party also accused Modi of lying.
“We challenge the Prime Minister to show if the word Hindu or Muslim is mentioned anywhere in our manifesto. This kind of cheap mentality is reserved to you and your party. We have talked about justice for the youth, women, farmers, tribals, middle class and workers. Do you object to this as well?” senior Congress leader Pawan Khera asked.

आपको इस से भी आपत्ति है? pic.twitter.com/6cazOKC1Rk
Calling PM Modi’s speech ‘disgraceful’, senior journalist Swati Chaturvedi urged the Election Commission of India to take action against him.
“Modi is disgraceful. A two term PM, lies about his predecessor’s Dr Singh’s documented statement & dog whistles against the Muslims like the bigot he is (sic)”, she wrote on social media platform X.
“Dear Election Commission are you deaf, dumb & blind? Why is Modi being allowed to rant hate speech against Muslims?” she asked.
